Addition & Subtraction Flash Cards Generator
Build a printable deck of math fact flash cards in seconds. Choose addition, subtraction, a mixed deck, or fact-family triangles; drill facts within 10 or 20, doubles, make-ten pairs, or one fact family at a time (+3, −7…); pick a card format and size, and print.
Cards print with a dashed cut line and just the fact on the front (7 + 5 =, or stacked), so kids read it and say the answer. Add a matching answer sheet for the grown-up, or choose two-sided cards: each answer page is mirrored so it lands right behind its card when you print double-sided.
66 cards · 11 pages of fronts + a matching answer sheet.
How to use these flash cards
- Start with a small family. The +0, +1 and +2 facts and the doubles come first; make-ten pairs are the bridge to adding past ten. Eleven cards is a deck a child can master in a week.
- Then mix it up. Once a family is known in order, switch Order to Shuffled; Reshuffle gives a new order without changing the facts.
- Connect + and −. Fact-family cards show the whole and its two parts on a triangle. Kids say all the facts the three numbers make (3 + 5, 5 + 3, 8 − 3, 8 − 5) and flip the card to check.
- Two-sided printing. Choose answer backs, print double-sided and flip on the long edge. Print on card stock if you have it, cut along the dashed guides and keep the deck in a zip bag.
Picking the right card size
Large (4 per page) is best for Kindergarten and whole-class drills. Medium (6 per page) is the everyday choice for home practice. Small (9 per page) fits the whole set of facts to 20 into the fewest pages.
